Inspirational leadership is knowing yourself well

Learning from Santa about leading — he is an amazing role model!

It would so wonderful to know and like ourselves as a leader, to appreciate our skills and strengths and to have a plan to also work on some of the barriers that block our path and some areas we need to develop.

Just like Santa, we need to keep our eye on the goal and end up knowing our own blend of character traits, find our own superpower!

These days, middle managers, business owners and leaders generally face pressure from all sides and this is the reason we need to stick together, share ideas and consider how to lead well without working harder.

That’s why I am writing this Blog! Hope it will be helpful….

Perhaps, we are all a little frazzled these days, the emails are increasing, the staff are unhappy with the new direction we are leading them and the boss is never around, so how can we learn some tips from this guy Santa Claus and keep delivering?

Thought number 1: Get to know yourself — we can often feel a little misunderstood because other people don’t quite appreciate our stresses, strains and they even mis-read our verbal communication — labelling us as a little aggressive, impatient or driven — when really we are passionate, focused and energetic. It can be a lonely place…

If you get to know yourself better, you can also consider how to improve your communication style so that you send out the right messages — this will help you with your mission to get the work done! We cannot drive others along expecting them to comply these days, so we need to keep it real, if we understand ourselves, we can find ways to include others in the journey more effectively!

About me: Setting aside specific time for reflection and spending quality time with myself has allowed me to see some real breakthrough…
